Post mortem results have been released on Wednesday in association with the death of a 14-year-old girl.
The post mortem outcomes show that the cause of death is organ failure due to the irritant or an unknown substance’s indigestion.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Phiwe Mnguni has reassured that investigations continue and appeal for patience.
On Friday the 06th of November 2020, the deceased collided with a 15-year-old male who choked her. She was also supposedly strangled by the father of the 15-year-old male.
The hostility was reportedly halted, and the victim went home. On Saturday night, the 07th of November, the deceased complained of stomach pains. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment on Sunday, the 08th of November, and sadly passed away on Monday, the 09th of November, hence the inquest docket.
The video clip circulating on social media, showing a female being tossed on the floor, is not that of the deceased as verified by her parents.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner has strongly condemned fake news distribution as they tend to stir the community’s emotions.
The community will be kept abreast of the investigation.
