The Police unit is currently searching Protea Heights Academy in Brackenfell after a bomb threat was received.
The school received a call that there is a bomb on the premises and the school contacted the police, said the sergeant: Noloyiso Rwexana, police spokesperson.
According to her, the school is currently being searched, and there is no confirmation yet whether there is indeed a bomb. She says the school was evacuated according to procedures.
The Western Cape Education Department says it is inquiring about the situation and will be able to provide information soon.
Protea Heights Academy is located about 3 km from Brackenfell High School which on Monday was the scene of violence due to unhappiness over a matric party.
