A 21-year-old manager of a farm near Paul Roux in the Free State’s body was found in a field on the farm on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Motantsi Makhele said the victim was tied to a pole on the farm with a rope around his neck. He had injuries to his head and face and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brendin Horner (21) was allegedly stabbed several times with a knife and also had a head wound.
“His Toyota Hilux was later found with blood stains near the Duikfontein farm at Paul Roux,” said Makhele.
According to him, other farmers in the area called the police to the farm after the man’s body was found. Police were at the scene around 6:30 p.m.
