The five suspects accused of the sensational murder of the Hartswater Brand family in the Northern Cape appeared in court again on Thursday.
Kgomotso Mpumlwana, 43, Tshepo Visagie, 36, Tshepo Seolesang, 20, Tshepaone Melato, 19, and Realeboga Manyedi, 18, appeared in Hartswater Magistrate’s Court earlier today on charges of murder, kidnapping, and robbery.
Mojalefa Senokoatsane, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Northern Cape, told Maroela Media that the case had been postponed again for further investigation.
The suspects remain in custody until December 10, when they will have to appear in court again.
Mpumlwana’s bail application was rejected in September while her co-accused did not apply for bail.
Dan (83), Breggie (79), and their daughter Elzabie were assaulted, abducted, and later killed on a smallholding in the Vaalharts area near Hartswater in July.
