94-year-old attacked at Delmas' nursing home

The Police in Mpumalanga have launched a pursuit for two suspects, a male, and a female, who attacked an older woman during a house robbery. This horrific commotion unfolded on Wednesday, the 07th of October, at Delmas’ nursing home.

According to the statement, a 94-year-old lady heard a knock on her door, at which point she took a closer look, then she saw two people, a male, and female, carrying boxes, and the duo said that they were donating clothes to the less fortunate. She then unlocked the door and kindly made coffee for them. Unknown to her that they had concealed motives.

The male suspect then abruptly presented a knife, threatened, and assaulted the vulnerable older woman to the point that she lost some of her teeth. He then aggressively grabbed her while his accomplice searched the entire place and took worthy items.

After that, the victim was bound to a chair with belts and folding scarfs. The suspects locked the victim inside and escaped the scene with the stolen items, including her cards.

The caregiver freed the woman after having heard her crying for help. Police were informed about the occurrence, and they opened a case of house robbery, hence the search.

The police have strongly condemned this terrible event and have vowed to do everything possible to guarantee that the perpetrators are captured and brought to book.
