The EFF filed a complaint late Tuesday afternoon against a woman who allegedly aimed a firearm at their members in a Port Elizabeth shopping center.
The complaint stems from an incident earlier in the morning in the luxury Walmer Park mall where the EFF protested in front of a Clicks store.
In a video, which was allegedly taken while the parties were escorted out of the center, EFF members can be seen crowding around a woman and insisting that she take out her firearm. The woman then takes the firearm out of her shirt and points it at the group before lowering the weapon.
Outside the center, the woman and two EFF members were handcuffed by police and taken to the Walmer police station.
According to police, the woman in question is a licensed firearm owner.
At the police station, the parties involved decided they did not want to lodge any complaints and they were let go again.
Later that afternoon, a group of about six EFF members returned to the police station and reported a charge of pointing a firearm at the woman.
