A woman was murdered on Wednesday afternoon when two men assaulted her and her mother on a smallholding near Sundra in Mpumalanga. According to sources, the women’s gardener was allegedly colluding with the attackers.

Maroela Media reported that Marius Müller, national operations coordinator of AfriForum said that the men entered the farm just before 13:00. They found the woman in the garage and assaulted her. Her body was found in the garage after the attack. Müller says at this stage it is suspected that she was strangled.

“The woman’s mother, who is deep in her 60s, was also severely assaulted. Her broken mouth shows that she was badly beaten, ”says Müller.

The domestic worker was tied up and locked in a bathroom in the house.

Müller says the men, among other things, loaded a lawnmower on the back of the women’s bakkie and fled. They also left with one firearm.

“They drove the stolen bakkie with the N12 in the direction of Pretoria. They moved somewhere from the N12 to the R50. In the meantime, our neighborhood watch was activated and chased the bakkie. “

Müller says when police questioned the gardener at the murder scene, it came to light that he was in collusion with the attackers. He was also arrested afterwards.

The attackers rolled the stolen vehicle along the R50 Delmas road and fled into a field.
