The EFF leader, Julius Malema has come under fire after calling on the “EFF ground forces” to attack.
In response to community outrage in Senekal, Julius Malema said on Twitter “Since the government of Cyril Ramaphosa is extremely scared to respond decisively, we are on our own. Next appearance, all ground forces and peace loving South Africans will be in attendance, in defence of our democracy and property. Magwala a chechele morago! Fighters attack!”
This comes after the farming community protested due to the murder of Brendin Horner.
Brendin Horner was tied to a pole on a farm with a rope around his neck. He had injuries to his head and face and was pronounced dead at the scene on a farm near Paul Roux in the Free State.
The farming community in Senekal came together when the alleged killers of Brendin Horner appeared in court. The alleged killers are expected to return to court on 16th of October for their bail application.
In response to the Tweet by the EFF leader, many South Africans pointed out that Malema is calling for civil war. Some Twitter users pointed out that Malema is putting lives in danger by “such a dangerous” Tweet.
Some EFF supporters responded with support:
In 2018 Julius Malema told eNCA that civil war will not start because of words from Julius Malema. Malema said to eNCA that “the white people in South Africa are the most safe people. There is no one in South Africa who is more safe than white people.”
In a previous Tweet, Malema said that “
Whites don’t play; they are dealing with this clownish government of their puppet Cyril Ramaphosa. No single rubber bullet shot. Can you imagine if it was black people?”
In the past, Malema came under fire for saying ‘We Have Not Called For The Killing Of White People… At Least For Now’.
“I’m saying to you, we’ve not called for the killing of white people, at least for now. I can’t guarantee the future.”
In response by the presenter, he asked Malema if it does not sound like a “genocidal call”, Malema responded, “Cry babies, cry babies!”
