At least two more tremors were felt in parts of Cape Town on Sunday morning after an earthquake earlier.
The Council for Earth Sciences (CGS) said it is possible that further aftershocks could occur while releasing the stress on rocks and it could feel like light vibrations.
An earthquake occurred in the sea at about 1:10 km from Cape Town at around 19:10 on Saturday night, but according to the CGS, Saturday night’s quakes in Cape Town were related to a smaller earthquake of 2.5 that occurred at 20:41 north of Durbanville in occurred in the Western Cape.
The first aftershock this morning at 09:12 measured 2.3. There is not yet a reading for the second one.
