On 21 October 2020, at about 14:00, the members responded to information about abalone stored in a basement at an apartment complex in Century City, Milnerton. On members’ arrival, they found three vehicles loaded with abalone in plastic bags. They seized the three vehicles with 23000 units of abalone. The shucked abalone was handed over to DAFF.

The suspects are due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
