14,046 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa, 411 deaths

14 046 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in South Africa on Tuesday, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced in a statement.

411 deaths were reported compared to Monday’s total of 339.

Mkhize says in his statement that it is important to evaluate the current situation in the provinces – KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and the Western Cape – to identify hotspots (and in other provinces where hotspots can also be identified).

Recommendations based on these findings and limitations already identified in current hotspots will then be made.
