More than 90,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in South Africa surpassed the 90,000 mark on Saturday. Dr. Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said on Saturday night that 92 681 people in South Africa had already been tested positive. Of those, more than half – 50,326 – have already recovered.

On Friday, national infections stood at 87,715.

Another 46 people were killed. This puts the death toll in South Africa at 1 877.

  • Limpopo: 521
  • Mpumalanga: 544
  • Northwest: 1 957
  • Northern Cape: 232

  • Unknown: 49
