Police Minister Bheki Cele will meet the family of Brendin Horner (22) on their farm outside Paul Roux on Tuesday as part of a visit to the Free State to defuse racial tensions after the murder.
State Security Minister Cele and Ayanda Dlodlo will visit the Horner family together at 11am on the Graspan farm between Paul Roux and Bethlehem. Horner visited his father, Robbie, on the evening of October 1, and was assaulted and killed on his return.
Cele will also visit Free State farmers during this trip.
The police minister earlier warned “People will not be allowed again to bully the state and do the same as last week in Senekal. This can not be allowed.
“This time we will be ready. This time we will be there to protect property and the integrity of the state and to protect people, even suspects.
“We will not allow people to use their own right. No matter who they are. As we prepare to go there, we will enter into dialogue with all stakeholders.
