The body of Leon Brits, the owner of the Pofadder Hotel in the Northern Cape, was found in the swimming pool of his house on Wednesday.
Leon was allegedly strangled and stabbed with a sharp object.
According to Maroela Media, Riaan Oberholzer, a family friend, tells Maroela Media that Leon and his wife, Suretha, were busy at the hotel this morning when Leon received a call from a worker.
The worker in question asked if he could close the dogs at the house so that the house could be cleaned.
Leon went to the house which is not far from the hotel. However, when Leon did not return to the hotel and Suretha could not get hold of him, she went home to look for him, Oberholzer said.
Suretha came across her husband’s body in the pool.
