Dlamini-Zuma extended South Africa’s national state of disaster on Saturday. This does not mean South Africa cannot move to level 2 of the lockdown.
Credible sources confirmed that South Africa’s strict lockdown restrictions will be lifted. The sale of tobacco and alcohol products will continue.
Here’s the expected announcements during the weekend:
- The ban on tobacco products will be lifted
- The ban on alcohol sales will be lifted
- Some travel restrictions will be relaxed
