The hashtag #KFCMustFall was a popular hashtag on Twitter in South Africa on Monday morning.
The fast-food restaurant tweeted a photo on Sunday night of the Ngubeni team that participated in traditional games on Family Feud SA. The team is wearing outfits with various color blocks. KFC wrote in the photo “if you can not decide what color to wear, then you just wear all of them”.
Several people reacted upset on social media about it, saying KFC is driving the joke with the Tsonga culture, which is known for its brightly colored clothing.
An employee at KFC asked the question, what about my job?
Some Twitter users blamed the ANC for undermining black people.
Another Twitter user said that South Africans has lost their sense of humor.
KFC is the official sponsor of Family Feud SA. The tweet has since been removed.
