He will definitely compete for the post of ANC president if the opportunity arises, says Duduzane Zuma, son of former president. Jacob Zuma.
Zuma confirmed in a radio interview with presenter Clement Manyathela on radio station 702 from Dubai on Monday to enter South Africa politics.
Zuma says although he does not want to single out the current ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa, he has lost confidence in the ruling party’s current leadership.
“I do want to single out elements that confuse. One of the elements will be indecisive leadership in the national government. There are experienced people, but they are out of touch with the realities in South Africa, ”says Duduzane.
He hinted that he would join the ANC because that party still has a lot to offer. “However, there is a lack of new blood, and I want to be part of that process.”
Asked if he would run for the presidency, Duduzane said: “If the opportunity arises, he will definitely.”
Manyathela, however, wanted to know from him whether he thought South Africans would trust him as a politician, seeing that he had close ties with the Gupta family, which according to the evidence before the Zondo Commission “really ruined the country.”
Duduzane responded by saying that no one has yet been convicted in this regard and that everything is still just allegations. He is also aware of the allegations against himself, but he says it is all false.
