South African-born former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen says international intervention is needed in the fight against farm attacks and murders in South Africa.
Pietersen made this statement on his Twitter page where he strongly condemned farm attacks and murders.
“As much as I have pointed out the beauty of South Africa in the last month, however, there is also a big problem with attacks on farmers in the country. It is tragic and is a daily problem, ”Pietersen said on his Twitter profile.
“It is totally wrong for white farmers to be attacked and killed. The situation requires global intervention. “
Pietersen, who went to England in 2000 to play for Nottinghamshire cricket, was born in 1980 in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
Pietersen later said in a Tweet “You just have to have a look at the traction that my tweet on South Africa’s #FarmMurders got yesterday & read all the comments, to see how big an issue this is. A tragic state of events! Barbaric, inhumane & just cruel!”
